funny game with nice graphs and good controls. enemies enough and a funny story line.
I never died, weapons were very powerfull after a short time of playing. I never had to grind. Had a lot of crystals left and no boss ever got close to me.

So to easy imo

oef I kinda peed my pants a little when I saw this was out. I so much loved the old game. I am writing this review a bit prematurely I guess, since I am still playing, but I wanted to try a constructive review.

Its noticeable that a lot of thought has gone into this new version. its definitely very different, but also has the same atmosphere as the old game. As always the sounds are awesome

You have decided to incorporate the upgrade screen of the first game into the game itself. I cannot speak for everyone of course, but I personally dont like this concept. at least not in its current form. I have great difficulty in obtaining upgrades and often fail to hold of the zombies. Its also quite difficult to stop in time for a certain station or church.

RP are pretty rare to get in the beginning, some upgrades are expensive and take ages to complete. I tried upgrading this skill, but you give so many upgrade options, its difficult to figure out for what you should save RP. Also RP earned is just as easily lost. I had difficulty in deciding if I should make the stage to earn RP or stop to upgrade, since later stages get more difficult fast I was in a predicament constantly.

Why I also miss the old upgrade screen is the resting moments. This game actually goes on non-stop and this stresses me out a bit. prior you could enjoy the upgrade screen and rest a while.

Zombies are really hard to kill, and cost a lot of ammo, ammo replenishment is difficult.

I did not try changing drivers yet, since the driver and the passenger each auto-upgrade for their used skills, so my driver gets better at driving and my passenger better at shooting. I am not sure why I would change, since changing would mean increase in difficulty. Or am I missing something?

The surroundings seem simpler than the previous games, but I guess that will change when I move along in the game, it does however look much more cluttered. There is a lot going on and the chaos kinda makes it bit ugly. Lag isnt so much a problem for me, but sometimes it would stutter a bit when crashing into cars and zombies and roadblocks all at the same time.

So in conclusion I feel that you may have over dressed this game. The concepts are very nice, but they seem to be a bit to much. Difficulty is also a factor. What I would suggest is to maybe add an easy mode where everything could remain the same, but when you stop at a church, garage or whatever no zombies will attack you. This would still be a bit of a hassle since you would have to accelerate again, but I think I would enjoy the game more.

Ill rate the game on what it is. still awesome, with great visuals, sound effects and story lines.

gets laggy after a few levels, this was also the case in the previous version.
You earn money fast; I was never really in trouble and maybe died 2-3 times in total.
bosses were mostly easy.

it was entertaining, but not really

not that great, very simplistic and easy. I played on to lvl 30 and well some choppers tanks and infantry was all I encountered. The defense gets impenetrable and after I figured I could upgrade it (thanks for telling us!!) it was just insane easy. I didnt even have to shoot.

The upgrades are unclear. I though, why upgrade grenade launcher if I hardly have it, but apparently you get it while upgrading. meh not necessary anyway.

fixing turrets was way cheap. at lvl 30 I had banked 2500 and all full turrets.

the fact that enemies only come from 2 sides also makes it boring.

controls are nice and smooth. but its a very simplistic game imho not worthy of frontpage. graphics are also not really something to write home about, the menu's are boring. the upgrades lame. no bosses, little different weapons to easy (on medium mode).

sprinting didnt work for me, but I didnt upgrade it so maybe thats the issue?
the game crashed after I went to upgrade grenade launcher and wanted to place a turret. luckily autosave

all in all 2 stars, but only one for rating since it got frontpage and that is not right

idk if iam doing anything wrong, but I got the first 4 cities with ease, but then suddenly all next cities are fkkn hard. I mined and mined, and grinded and grinded, bought better ships, but every single town had like tier 4-5 ships. that also always started with their turn.

I had no fkkn chance. So either I grinded more (and believe me I grinded long), or I quit. I did the latter. The game looks like fun, but the sudden difficulty change made it lame to me

Vogd3 responds:

You can scroll Ship Tree to acess better ships, also you can use paid cannon balls with dynamite.

So a lot of complaints about the instructions. I did read your instructions, but they are not as clear in the beginning. Later on you understand it. I do not really mind the lack of it, though it would have been a welcome addition.

In the beginning this game is pretty hard. actually the game gradually becomes easier and easier, depending a bit on your upgrade decisions.

When you bought 2 satellites, you could just close that station down by letting it overheat.
you could ignore the generator power upgrade, so to make the game easier. I did this in the beginning, but loading the beam would take ages.
The capacitor upgrade became very expensive very quickly and although I had a lot of cities to destroy, it wouldnt let me destroy big cities, so money was coming in very slowely.
When I was saving up money I also would let my research lab get destroyed.

after a while I just figured it would take ages to get the money and I started upgrading the power quite a bit. It definitiely became harder, but not really. at that time I was already bored with it.

at first glance this looks like a very fun game, somewhat complicated, but soon you notice that its pretty easy, but very boring. I think I would have enjoyed this game much more if you would earn more money and the world had lesser cities. No way that I was going to finish this game. I cant imagine anybody did. Not because its not possible (its easy), but because it takes ages.

oke oke, but now make a real awesome game again plz. a la RotD. its been a while

mirror mask, meets donnie darko, meets alice in wonderland. This is some fucked up sheit. very well made, but the item bar was annoying sometimes.

I have no idea how I could miss so much achievements, only 2.

looks nice, thats sure, but I dont really like this game.

First of its a mouse click game, so that by definition isnt really exciting and you cannot really show skill. Moving goes tediously slow, why must I double click everything?

areas are pretty difficult, I already needed some time to get through the multiple arrows part, while I wasnt really doing anything wrong, but I just got killed. after a few tries I got it, but I didnt really experience it as I did it better.

Then came the first ogre / troll.. well after a few dozen tries trying to study his attacks I came to realize that there wasnt anything you could learn from his random moves, nor could I really do anything about it. most of the time I died right after the first jump. You HAVE to jump right away and then he jumps back and immediately dies, you cannot prevent this. (this must be a bug, since its really NOT possible to prevent this at all..) Sometimes you get lucky and are able to jump around for a while, but this goes on and on and eventually he'll get you. I tried clicking his face his eye other parts, but I guess I did not yet came to the part where I could actually attack him, and I think my maximum amount of jumps without getting hit was somewhere around 12 jumps. Then I read that you made the ogre attack easier to anticipate (lol) but harder to beat. I am not sure if this is the same enemy but If I had to endure this 5 more times after my first hit I can tell you I will not be able to do this. The problem is, you cannot wait to see what he is gonna do, if he starts his attack youre to late to move.

So yeah, while writing this review I tried another few times, must have tried it about 70 times now (inlcuding insta deaths) and I have not been able to hit him once. that just cannot be right. I can imagine people were able to kill him, but its based solely on luck. and that makes this a bit of a lame game.

pity

ha cant believe I actually finished this game. As in really finished all medals and all goals completed. Took me a while but it was nice to play this in short bits.

In the end the game is pretty addicting, but the game itself is not very challenging or original. Its the same pretty quickly.

I did experience some lag especially when I placed fridges next to a wall.

anyway, a fun time-waster. I think I did spent a bit to much time on it in total, but thats taken over a week or so.

last secret medal btw has something to do with the amount of cash u have
