idk if iam doing anything wrong, but I got the first 4 cities with ease, but then suddenly all next cities are fkkn hard. I mined and mined, and grinded and grinded, bought better ships, but every single town had like tier 4-5 ships. that also always started with their turn.

I had no fkkn chance. So either I grinded more (and believe me I grinded long), or I quit. I did the latter. The game looks like fun, but the sudden difficulty change made it lame to me

Vogd3 responds:

You can scroll Ship Tree to acess better ships, also you can use paid cannon balls with dynamite.

not much complaints about lagg, but I had serious lag issues. after lvl 4-5 or so it became very annoying.

for the rest. easy game, little upgrades, repetitive. not bad, good holiday gamer.

nice graphs

Bandana-Crew responds:

Thanks, Tomsan! Happy holidays and good luck! :)

a bit short but fun and simple.

the level creator was very buggy. I tried creating a level but the king behaved very weird in the level and objects were placed on different locations then I put it. there were no unvisible items behind other items or something. just seemed to be broken

Nutcasenightmare responds:

Was the "overlay" Layer selected in the editor?
I forgot to document it, but anything placed in the "Overlay" layer doesn't get affected by the Camera. It's confusing, admittedly, and I'll be sure to change it soon.

Thanks for giving feedback on the editor!

not as hard as I expected. I did need the walkthrough once. at the strange block in lvl 12. I dont think anyone can figure that one out by himself since there is no logic. for the rest challenging game.

@kikoshou; its not entirely true. the special blocks may be the blocks they present to be or not, but if they are not they are often crucial blocks anyway (i.e. only landable blocks) so they do help. Often enough I could predict my path by those 'special' blocks..

Zapxo responds:

Logic is our worst enemy at times.

In the second level, I couldnt get out the finish... I mean I went to the upper left corner and I could walk outside the level, but eventually I just died. Tried it a few times, didnt work. pitty looks pretty fun

AdventureIslands responds:

Ah I found out there is a bug that if anything like you or a fly touches the goal before you have eaten enough, it disappears making the level unbeatable unless you restart the stage, sorry about that.

fun game, like the others, but its pretty based on achievements which is fine, but everytime I try to view them the game gets stuck (on mac). I have to restart. So that kinda ruins it. for now 3/5

tremorgames responds:

The new update caused this. Will be fixed.

pretty original. worked without a glitch, story is pretty good. a tad slow maybe. maybe add something else then shooting.

en gast! ik neem het jullie niet kwalijk, maar het is wel erg slecht geacteerd ^^

Kenney responds:

Good to hear :) We're not exactly George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio, we're very aware of that :)

this is awful. The grahs are nice and the idea is OK. the controls are already a bit tedious but workable. The upgrades are minimal and although noticable, no big difference seems to be there. The launcher misses very often and is actually a pretty crack weapon. in the labry its difficult to hit the towers you need to shoot next to them. overal hitting targets is difficult and buggy.

but then you went out and made a game with tons of enemies, and guns (which you shoot at the same time) with so fkkn little ammo. I played this game way longer then I wanted, cause I was frustrated from lvl 2, but in the labry it gets ridiculious. go out, kill, go back for ammo. go out, kill get back for ammo. and then do that 20 times. The game is not hard at all, but extremely boring.

You did make some mid level stations to resupply, but way to little imo and there werent marked. In some cases you were lucky to find one cause they werent on the main path. btw what were you thinking making levels so GD big without any reference on where to go?? at the very least give a map of where you have been, but rather just give a MAP.

So little ammo, so many enemies, so little resupply points, lame specials, enemies which needed a lot of ammo to kill, buggy crosshair, and probably more made this game very unfinished and lame.

Septem responds:

First levels pretty linear and there are no need for map. On bigger levels there are actually few resupply stations. Also did not find crosshair buggy. For game not being boring for you consider using resources ( ammo ) wisely and use devices.

overal oke game. There could be more enemies. The controls of specials was weird. give them a dedicated key, I dont want to press in game.

there was lots of show in the game after u completed a mission. It didnt really attract me, also I didnt understand the score list, I was always number one? why?

The amount of damage per weapon was also inbalanced imo. The shotgun was OP the assault hardly did damge to tanks.

I just didnt 'feel' it, but nevertheless a decent game. There is one MAYOR bug which in the end killed the game for me. After I died for the first time and I retried a level the old enemies would still be in the level. I was not able to kill them, but they would do damage to the building, making it impossible. I tried going back a level, but old enemies would still be there.

ErebosGames responds:

Thanks for the review! A dedicated button to launch the power-ups is a great idea, we'll add that in the next beta update.

You were at the top of the score list because the score list is only based on the arena that you are in. An arena can have a max of 25 players. All scores are in real-time, so you can compete against other players for high scores.

We just uploaded the latest version which fixed a few bugs - mainly it fixes the issue that you described where dying at a level essentially breaks the game.

Thanks again for your review!

I actually liked it.

first of for people who are compaining that the objective is not clear.. well the only real text in the game explains it quite well. I am not sure how this is unclear. If you dont read what the little girl has to say, yeah well it is a puzzle game so...

the whole atmosphere is pretty creepy. I jumped multiple times during the game. I loved the "JUMP!" voice awesome.

just well made.

I do not agree with the timer. These game should not be played on a time limit imo. its frustrating. I also had difficulty navigating. I had little idea where I was. The photos are good but cluttered. a player wasnt really drawn to locations that included a marble. thank god for the green arrow, but still could be made a bit easier?

ProgressivegamesDLE responds:

Thanks for the critique - we really appreciate it!
Nice to hear from someone who noticed the text at the beginning... ;) We might have to make stuff like that more obvious in future projects... And we love that you loved the JUMP voice - we like it, too.
As for timer issues, navigation and arrows - we are aware of the difficulties everyone's been having, and will definitely work on these areas in coming games. As we've noted in response to other comments, Cellar Door is a sort of beta test of elements that we want to incorporate into other games, so we'll definitely keep in mind the feedback that we've gotten on this one.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment. :)
